Job Descriptions:

The Master Trainer will be responsible for building the capacity of District Community Mobilizers (DCMs), facilitators, and project staff by delivering comprehensive training programs based on UNESCO-developed materials for literacy and skills development. This role involves adapting training content to the local context, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support to ensure effective implementation of literacy and vocational skills programs.

Job Requirements:

1. Training Program Development and Delivery:

  • Adapt and contextualize UNESCO's literacy and skills development training materials to suit the needs of SCAWNO's programs.
  • Design and implement training curricula for DCMs, facilitators, and project staff, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops, employing participatory and inclusive teaching methodologies.

2. Capacity Building:

  • Mentor and support DCMs and facilitators in delivering quality literacy and skills training to beneficiaries.
  • Provide technical assistance to project staff in implementing program activities effectively.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Monitor training outcomes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

4. Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with SCAWNO's program team to align training activities with organizational goals.
  • Liaise with UNESCO and other stakeholders to ensure the integration of best practices and resources.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, including attendance, materials used, and participant feedback.
     
  • Prepare detailed reports on training outcomes and recommendations for future initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs in literacy and skills development.
  • Proven experience in capacity building and community engagement.
  • Familiarity with UNESCO's training materials and methodologies is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in local languages (Pashto and Dari); knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
