Job Descriptions:

Program Development and Management

• Lead the development, planning, implementation, and monitoring of programs aligned with the NGO’s strategic objectives.

• Manage ongoing projects and ensure effective delivery of activities within budget and timeline.

• Coordinate with field teams and partners to ensure high-quality program implementation.

• Conduct regular program reviews and reporting.

2. Proposal Writing and Resource Mobilization

• Review and refine existing concept notes and develop them into full proposals.

• Identify funding opportunities and prepare tailored proposals and applications for donors, including UN agencies, INGOs, and foundations.

• Ensure all proposals are aligned with donor requirements and organizational goals.

3. Coordination and Representation

• Facilitate the registration of the NGO with relevant UN agency clusters (e.g., Education, Health, Protection, etc.).

• Represent the organization in cluster meetings, coordination forums, and donor briefings as required.

• Build and maintain effective partnerships with UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, and government counterparts.

4. Capacity Building and Organizational Development

• Support the development of internal systems for project management, monitoring, and evaluation.

• Train and mentor program staff and contribute to team building.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

• Develop and implement MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) systems for the organization’s programs.

• Prepare quality programmatic reports for donors, stakeholders, and internal use.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, project management, social sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in program management, proposal development, and coordination in humanitarian or development settings.

• Proven experience in drafting successful funding proposals, especially for UN agencies and major donors.

• Strong knowledge of UN coordination mechanisms and cluster systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are an asset.

• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with donor compliance and project cycle management tools.
