Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The GLTTA Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality teacher training programs aimed at improving pedagogical skills, classroom management, and instructional methodologies. The trainer will facilitate workshops, mentor teachers, and ensure the effective implementation of modern teaching strategies that align with SGOA’s educational objectives. This role requires working closely with educators, school administrators, and program staff to enhance the overall quality of education delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Program Development & Delivery:

    • Design and implement the GLTTA teacher training curriculum.

    • Conduct workshops and training sessions on innovative teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and classroom engagement.

    • Adapt training content to cater to different educational levels and subject areas.

  2. Teacher Mentorship & Support:

    • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to teachers participating in the program.

    • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback for teaching improvement.

    • Develop and share best practices to enhance teaching effectiveness.

  3. Monitoring & Assessment:

    • Assess teacher progress through pre- and post-training evaluations.

    • Collect and analyze feedback to refine training materials and methodologies.

    • Prepare reports on training effectiveness and impact.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:

    • Work with school leadership, education program teams, and relevant stakeholders to ensure training success.

    • Collaborate with national and international educational organizations to align training with best practices.

    • Advocate for continuous professional development among educators.

  5. Capacity Building & Educational Innovation:

    • Introduce teachers to digital learning tools and modern classroom technologies.

    • Foster an inclusive and participatory learning environment.

    • Encourage creative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Teacher Training, Curriculum Development, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in teacher training, education program development, or capacity building.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of pedagogical theories and modern teaching techniques.

    • Experience in designing and delivering training programs.

    • Proficiency in digital education tools and classroom technology integration.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentorship abilities.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills.

    • Ability to adapt training approaches based on participant needs.

    • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari is preferred.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
