Job Descriptions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Fabricates and assembles prosthetic/orthotic devices, including component parts, sockets

suspension systems to be designed by Category I or Category II professionals

Performs bench alignment of the device to the specifications of the Category I or Category II personnel

As direct or assists the Category I or Category II personnel in fitting and aligning activities with patients/users

As directed performs finishing operations on prostheses and orthoses, including the use of alignment transfer tools and equipment

Reports any pertinent information regarding the device to the prosthetist/orthotist

Take part in follow-up procedures in respect of maintenance, repair and replacement of the appliance

       Responsible for the care and economical use of materials, equipment and tools

Job Requirements:

Language requirements, if any

Fluency in Local languages (Dari and Pashto)

Qualifications Required

Minimum qualification required is 12th grade education with 2 years formal prosthetics and orthotics on job training

Work Experience

2-year minimum experience is required for 12 grade education holders.

No pre-experience is required for relevant education in Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences
