Interventions projects progress
Monitors and assesses the progress of projects in relation to the formulated goals. Intervenes early when the actual results lag behind or reporting requirements are not fulfilled. Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities, ensuring they align with project objectives and meet the needs of beneficiaries. Work closely with local implementing partners to mobilize and engage communities, ensuring their active participation and support for the project. Supervise the design and delivery of cash-based interventions considering FSAG cluster guideline and project proposal, ensuring secure and efficient disbursements to drought-affected households and returnees trough financial service provider.
Timeliness and quality of reports
Clarifies which donors need to be informed about the results of the programs. Assesses the substantive quality of reports of partners and field offices and adjusts if necessary to the quality standards of donors. Prepare and submit detailed monthly reports to FSAC cluster, and organizational leadership, highlighting project progress, achievements, and challenges. Ensure all reports are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time, maintaining high standards of quality and transparency. Adhere to AHF and other donor reporting requirements, providing clear and consistent updates on project activities and financial status.
Parts of programs and project proposals
Creates possibilities to acquire funds of institutional donors. Signals and analyses
developments at donor level. Writes (parts of) project proposals on the instruction of the program managers and SIF. Contribute to the development of new project proposals, including the design of intervention strategies, budget estimates, and implementation plans. Integrate feedback and insights from local partners, communities, and stakeholders into project proposals and program design.
Planning, monitoring and evaluation
Assesses which information is relevant for planning, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Fills in the required PME format and assesses what extra PME information beside the standard formats is of importance. Analyses and draws conclusions from PME information and makes these accessible to stakeholders. Lead the development and implementation of detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Conduct regular field visits and audits to verify project activities and ensure compliance with project goals and standards.
Result communication and open data
Assesses which results are relevant for communication and fundraising purposes,
collects these and formulates texts in accordance with quality standards of the Communications department and SIF. Collects and filters necessary information for open data sources. Delivers good qualitative information to the Communications department and SIF in time. Communicate project results and impacts effectively to stakeholders, donors, and the community through regular updates and detailed reports. Facilitate open and ongoing communication with beneficiaries and partners to ensure they are informed and engaged with project developments.
Monitoring of partners
Maintains contacts with partners and field offices focused on the effective and efficient implementation of programs. Makes agreements with partners regarding the achievement of substantive results, increasing their expertise, organizational sustainability and accountability in accordance with the guidelines of donors. Monitor and evaluate the performance of local implementing partners, ensuring they adhere to project objectives, timelines, and standards. Provide ongoing support and capacity-building opportunities for partners to enhance their effectiveness and accountability. Implement feedback mechanisms to gather and respond to input from partners and beneficiaries, fostering continuous improvement in project delivery.
Capacity of partners with regard to accountability
Assesses the capacity of staff with regard to accountability and
compliance with reporting requirements of donors. Lead training sessions and workshops to strengthen staff’ skills in project management, financial oversight, and accountability. ensuring staff adhere to ethical standards and donor requirements. Develop and implement support systems to help staff manage challenges and improve their capacity to deliver project outcomes effectively.
