Under the direct supervision of the Project supervisor and project technical supervisor, the CFS facilitator shall:
1. Ensure implementation of regular child-friendly recreational, educational, and structured activities at CFS based on children’s age, gender, abilities, and needs.
2. Prepare daily and weekly activity plans including free play, games, creative activities, storytelling, drawing, drama, songs, and group activities.
3. Plan diverse and inclusive activities for different age groups and ensure children’s active and meaningful participation.
4. Use child-friendly methods such as storytelling, games, songs, and creative activities to promote child rights, protection awareness, respect, and positive behavior.
5. Ensure CFS provides a safe, clean, inclusive, and welcoming environment in line with child safeguarding principles, including best interests of the child, confidentiality, participation, non-discrimination, and Do No Harm.
6. Promote equal participation of girls, boys, and children with disabilities by adapting activities according to their abilities and needs.
7. Collect and consider children’s feedback and suggestions to improve CFS activities.
8. Manage CFS materials and equipment through proper use, maintenance, safe storage, and regular inventory updates.
9. Ensure children’s safety during travel to and from CFS and report any safety concerns.
10. Identify child protection, health, wellbeing, or other concerns through daily observation and report them according to organizational procedures.
11. Refer children requiring additional support to Child Protection Case Workers or relevant service providers while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
12. Protect children’s personal information and ensure data, photos, and case details are shared only with authorized persons.
13. Maintain accurate attendance records and follow up with children who are absent from CFS activities.
14. Ensure children have regular breaks, access to water and sanitation facilities, and receive refreshments in an accountable manner.
15. Promote positive behavior and act as a role model by demonstrating respect, empathy, teamwork, and peaceful conflict resolution.
16. Participate in staff meetings, coordination meetings, and training sessions, and maintain communication with parents, caregivers, and community members.
17. Ensure CFS participation does not interfere with children’s education and encourage access to learning opportunities.
18. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the position.
