Afghanistan National Horticulture Development Organization (ANHDO) is a national non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization registered with the Ministry of Economy and established in April 2009. The development of ANHDO is part of the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) long term strategy for the development of horticulture sector in Afghanistan. Since then, ANHDO has developed into an important institution for horticulture development by comparing among other skilled and experienced Afghan professional organizations in the horticulture sector. ANHDO is operating in close coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) based on separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Hence, ANHDO is a corner stone of the long-term strategy for the development of the horticulture sector in Afghanistan.
ANHDO is currently looking for Agriculture Master Trainer for its project Agriculture Support Services for Farmers under the Water Emergency Relief Project (WERP) The project aims to improve agricultural production, productivity, and incomes of smallholder farmers in Takhar, Kunar, Laghman and Badakhshan provinces through sustainable, solar-powered irrigation schemes under the Water Emergency Relief Project (WERP) The project will support farmers by delivering capacity building and agricultural extension services, facilitating access to quality inputs, implementing cash-for-work activities for small-scale irrigation and on-farm infrastructure improvements, and strengthening market linkages. Key interventions include training on crop production, irrigation water management, soil fertility, integrated pest management (IPM), post-harvest handling, and value addition, alongside support for farmer organizations and access to markets.
