KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Support the community in organizing the community emergency response team (CERT).
• Plan and implement training activities for community members and local government partners, using the latest disaster risk reduction best practices.
• Organize disaster simulation activities.
• Conduct participatory HVCA in the community to build risk map, ensuring the participation of children.
• Support community in developing disaster preparedness and response plan
• Plan and carry out disaster awareness campaigns
• Develop work plan and activity reports.
• Develop case studies from project activities for the donor and policy decision markers.
• Prepare and implement action plan for quality monitoring.
• Mobilizing and Making communities aware on project objectives, outputs and activities and MEAL systems and SCI Child Safeguarding Policies.
• Facilitate project and activities information at all events such as training and workshops.
• Ensure personal commitment in building constructive working relationship with partners based on SCI partnership principles spelled out in Theory of Change (SCI has 3 main principle guiding it working in partnership which are value driven & empowerment, transparency & accountability and mutual benefit)
• Support Coordinators on day to day handling of department tasks related to partners (According to your organogram, this look like the lowest position in both programme and Finance, Hence they support people above them (their supervisor) with the work of department e.g. of these supervisor are Coordinators, Managers up to the Director level).
Technical tasks:
• Provide technical follow up and monitoring to all training and workshops conducted to ensure the sustainability and impacts of hygiene activities.
• Working closely with DRR team in planning and implementation stage for building the capacity of relevant groups.
• Assist in translation of key training manual and topics form English into Dari or Pashto.
• Compile and generate the training reports conducted at the field level.
• Work closely with the Save the children program teams and other sectors under emergency situation.
• Document and evaluate experiences and lessons learnt for purposes of institutional learning.
