Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Officer will oversee financial activities including cost tracking, purchase and sales recording, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. The role requires close coordination with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure accurate financial data, transparency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting.
- Ensure accurate recording of purchase, production, and sales transactions.
2. Raw Material & Inventory Accounting:
- Monitor and account for all incoming raw materials and ensure proper valuation.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams for raw material consumption and finished goods inventory.
- Reconcile physical stock with accounting records regularly.
3. Costing & Pricing:
- Analyze production costs and provide accurate cost per unit reports.
- Assist in setting product pricing based on actual cost, overhead, and margin targets.
- Track expenses related to transportation, storage, and production.
4. Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, government reporting, and licensing (including Ministry of Health if applicable).
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure proper filing and retention of all financial records and invoices.
5. Procurement & Sales Coordination:
- Record and track all purchases, import costs, supplier payments, and contracts.
- Verify sales invoices, collections, and customer receivables.
- Maintain supplier and customer account reconciliation.
6. System & Process Improvement:
- Support automation and ERP system (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks) implementation or improvement.
- Develop and implement internal controls to prevent errors or fraud.
