Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:
Oversee the buying and managing of drugs and medical supplies, making sure everything follows rules, stays within budget, and arrives on time to keep services running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the purchase of medicines and supplies, following organizational policies and budgets.
    • Set clear rules for stock handling, hygiene, and security in all pharmacies.
    • Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or waste.
    • Ensure storage areas meet safety standards (like temperature control).
    • Verify that all drugs and supplies meet quality standards (MOPH & WHO).
    • Inspect deliveries before sending them to health facilities.
    • Do regular stock checks to keep records accurate.
    • Prepare monthly reports on stock levels and usage for management.
    • Train and support pharmacy staff on best practices.
    • Conduct refresher training on drug storage and equipment care.
    • Work with procurement, logistics, and finance teams for smooth operations.
    • Collaborate with health authorities to align efforts.
    • Follow ACHRO’s Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.
    • Report any conduct, safety, or compliance issues immediately.
    • Ensure actions protect staff and vulnerable communities.
    • Inform partners about ACHRO’s policies and reporting systems.
Job Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D or B.Pharm) from an accredited institution.

  • Active Pharmacist License in the state/country of practice.

  • 10 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail, hospital, or clinical settings.

  • Prior supervisory or management experience (e.g., Staff Pharmacist, Assistant Pharmacy Manager)
