Job Summary:

The PHC/SHC Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing project activities to ensure they meet guidelines, timelines, and quality standards. They work with local partners, stakeholders, and the project team to provide leadership and ensure smooth implementation.

    • Prepare annual work plans with departments.
    • Manage project implementation in the field.
    • Ensure proper staff allocation and coordination.
    • Maintain coordination between departments at the provincial level.
    • Manage project budgets efficiently.
    • Ensure timely availability of medical and non-medical supplies.
    • Report shortages and follow up on requests.
    • Represent ACHRO in meetings with government, UN, NGOs, and stakeholders.
    • Ensure regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) to ACHRO, PPHD, and MoPH.
    • Conduct meetings with health facility staff to discuss progress and challenges.
    • Follow up on monitoring findings from WHO, MoPH, and other stakeholders.
    • Support the HMIS team to ensure accurate data reporting.
    • Prepare for Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) visits.
    • Hold daily security briefings with staff.
    • Check warehouse and guesthouse security periodically.
    • Act as security focal point in emergencies.
    • Attend PPHCC, PDC, and health cluster meetings.
    • Build relationships with local authorities, NGOs, and UN agencies.
    • Ensure visibility of ACHRO and donors.
    • Conduct needs assessments (TNA) for projects.
    • Assist in preparing reports and concept notes.
    • Perform any other project-related duties as assigned.

The Project Manager ensures the project runs smoothly, meets targets, and follows MoPH policies while maintaining strong partnerships.

Job Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Public Health (or a related field).

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in Health Programs Management, implementation and supervision of Community-based health programs.
  • Proven ability in management and supervision
  • Possess leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
