Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:
  • Be aware of the tasks, project goals, and objectives.
  • Analyzing of cash for work projects and CDC facilities in implementing of cash for work infrastructure
  • Conduct a baseline survey, technical survey, topographic survey &, etc.) in the presence of the CDC.
  • Design and estimate based on technical norms and budget. 
  • Carry out primary activities of projects (sketch, timeline, plan, and human resource) according to the project proposal.
  • Supervision and monitoring of sub-projects to ensure project implementation according to the proposal in covered villages
  • Site visits and regular monitoring of CFW infrastructure to ensure quality of work.
  • Close cooperation with the monitoring team under the direction of a focal point.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly target plans.
  • Provide written weekly and monthly activity reports based on the project to a focal point.
  • Coordination with social organizers and focal points.
  • Conducting post-distribution monitoring (PDM) at the end of the project.
  • Any other duties or tasks assigned by the org.
Job Requirements:

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering;

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field;

Technical Skills:

  • Well-knowledge in design, survey, and estimation of projects.
  • Ability in planning and reporting systems.
  • Have effective communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken Dari, Pashto, and local languages.
  • Ability to use a computer and have knowledge of MS Office and Auto Cad.
  • Have the ability to write and speak the English language (if needed)
  • Able to work as a part of a team in the field.
