Job Descriptions:

As MD Doctor:

The Medical Doctor (MD) is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and medical treatment to male patients at the health facility level.

As Social Worker:

As Social Worker will work in the community to serve as a bridge between the community and health facilities through regular meetings with community members, religious and prominent leaders, Ulema, Mullah Imams, and youths. The He  will strengthen women and girl’s links with health facilities services and positively impact health facility  utilization.

As MD Male Doctor will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Providing medical services for male patients and diagnosis and treatment in accordance with national standards along with referrals to higher facilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records data for all patients seen in OPD.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate in administering, registering, and treating patients in their respective cases.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly performance report to the line manager
  • Provide individual health education to patients during examination and diagnosis.
  • A good deal with patients and mutual respect with colleagues.
  • Efforts to improve the level of professional knowledge and strengthen their professional skills and obtain national guidelines in the head of health services.
  • Actively contributes to the planning, coordination, and implementation of health and nutrition activities at the health facility.
  • Working closely with other team members to improve service delivery, patient outcomes, and community health.
  • Perform any other duty in the scope of the JD per the need and when asked for it.

 

As Social Worker will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Connect communities with MCHC services, serve as a bridge between the community and MCHCs to encourage communities allowing their women and girls visit MCHCs and seek services.
  • Communicate and coordinate with local level authorities and community people at the local level about MCHC activities. Coordinate and communicate with DFAs as a male MCHC representative on behalf of MCHC staff.
  • Assist the project team in mapping of health service providers in the targeted communities.
  • Mapping of available services in the targeted communities and strengthening the referral pathways.
  • Coordinate with BPHS/ EPHS and other health service providers for synergies and collaborations.
  • Assist team in conducting coordination meetings within district with authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Provide updates and required information to the project team.
  • Perform any project-related tasks assigned by supervisors.

 

 

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Graduated from a registered and recognized medical faculty.
  • The Candidate must have at least three-years’ relevant work experience in BPHS related health facilities or similar working context/environment. 
  • Postgraduate clinical experience, preferably in primary health care, nutrition, or maternal and child health.

Experience:

  • The Candidate must have at least 3-years’ relevant work experience in BPHS related health facilities or similar working context/environment. 
  • Knowledge of national and WHO and other related nutrition and health guidelines and protocols.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in community mobilization with NGOs/INGOs.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent skills of problem-solving and decision making.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Patient counselling and advice.
  • Good teamwork spirit.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Experience of ministry of public health/HMIS reporting system/formats.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point.
  • Excellent social work and community mobilization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with different communities with different cultures and protection services in the field.
