Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

• Supervise regularly health facilities and provide technical support to the relevant technical staff to ensure asmooth implementation of the project

• Support technical staff in developing and following up supervisory and project plans.

• Provide technical support to the health technical staff to ensure proper implementation of the project work plan and to design an action plan following GCMU/Third-party monitoring visits.

• Provide timely verbal and written feedback and on-job training to technical staff to ensure quality care service in health facilities.

• Support technical officers to implement and coordinate activities at the health facility level, including filling of register and preparation of HMIS reports.

• Assist the project manager in developing an action plan, doing monitoring visits, making sure that the project work plan is correctly implemented, and writing reports in a timely manner.

• Support the project manager in providing quality health activities in the targeted communities through regular technical follow-ups, timely feedback, supervision, and monitoring.

• Organize, with the project manager, regular meeting with technical team to review project implementation plan and budget, provide evaluation’s feedback to find out strengths and weaknesses, es and make sure that proper action plan is developed accordingly. Representation / Meeting

• Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars & conferences organized by CHA

• Support the project manager in developing and maintaining good relationships with local communities and local health shuras to make sure that the local community understands and supports CHA’s activities. Staff Management

• Assist the Capacity building officer in conducting a needs assessment, training, curriculum development, and post-training follow-up.

• Maintain effective relationships with team and colleagues, provide support and develop listening skills.

• Apply the general guidelines, treatment protocols, policies, and framework of the SEHATMANDI project are available and used by all staff. Financial and logistics Duties

• Assist the project manager and deputy financial project manager in budget follow-up and make sure all project staff complies with CHA’s policies.

• In absence of the project manager, approve and attest expenses of the Health unit in accordance with the CHA Regulation.

• Support the project manager in collecting, recording, and analyzing project data.

• With the support of the deputy financial manager, and under the supervision of the project manager, follow-up the utilization of the budget at the health facility level.

• Ensure quality and timely supply of medicines and medical supplies to all health facilities and health posts.

Job Requirements:

Master degree in Public Health (or a related field) and 10 years experience in Managing Health programs
