Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Management, administration, and supervision of Health project including Provincial hospitals in the province.

• Represents the organization and the project in meetings with PPHD, NGOs, UN agencies, and other stakeholders in the province.

• Regularly and actively participates in the PHCC meetings and other important coordination meetings at the provincial level.

• Effectively coordinates the project-related issues with the concerned stakeholders at the provincial level.

• Closely oversees performances of the operational and technical staff of the provincial office and makes sure they perform in line with the requirements of the project, organization, and MoPH.

• Closely oversees the procurement and recruitment processes at the provincial level.

• Ensures that effective supportive supervision and monitoring are regularly conducted at the project sites including the provincial hospital as planned in the province and corrective actions are taken to address the identified problems.

• Ensures that quarterly technical and financial reports of the BPHS and EPHS project are informative, accurate, and submitted on time.

• Ensure timely submission of monthly updates of Health project both from BPHS HFs and from provincial Hospital to PPHD and MoPH’s relevant departments.

• Ensures effective implementation of PIP for (Health Facility Performance Monitoring) at the provincial/project level.

• Ensures that performance appraisals and training need assessments of the BPHS and EPHS staff are conducted and appropriate skills and knowledge transfer activities are performed at the project level.

• Ensures that the organization’s policies, guidelines, and procedures are implemented appropriately in the province.

• Ensures the project implementation is in compliance with organization, MOPH, and donor requirements.

• Reviews the progress VS the performance indicators of the Health project on regular basis and ensures the index and maximum levels of the project’s target indicators are achieved.

• Ensures the implementation of Provincial Hospital is in line with the MoPH EPHS guideline and hospital standards.

• Performs any other duty assigned by Program Manager/Director and board of management

Job Requirements:

Master degree in Public Health (or a related field) and 15 years experience in health programmes Management in development countries
