About Help The Afghan Children:

Help the Afghan Children (HTAC), is a non-profit, non-governmental organization was established in 1993 in response to the horrible conditions of Afghan families she witnessed during Afghanistan’s civil war.  HTAC is registered with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Economics as a national non-governmental organization.  HTAC is also member of ACBAR coordination body in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Under the direction of the project manager and in coordination with subordinate staff will be responsible for implementing HTAC’s finance activities in project in Faryab   properly.

  1. Implementing of overall finance policies and procedures of the Organization.
  2. To enter data into computerized accounting system.
  3. To prepare voucher summary and calculate all bills and receipts.
  4. Oversee payments are properly recorded, verified and financial invoices are correct documented.
  5. Ensure the monthly accounts are closed according to the internal accounting calendar.
  6. Provide timely and accurate financial information to the management.
  7. Cash management of the office.
  8. Monitor expenses as per approved budgets of the Company.
  9. As part of the Finance Team take an active role in reviewing finance/accounting strategy, plans and achievements regularly, and propose relevant modifications of the strategy.
  10. Maintains day to day accounting records.
  11. Compiles documentation to support data entry and check reconciliation.
  12. Check regularly all the expenditures and quotations submitted are in line with the prevailing market rates and of the good quality.
  13. To perform any other tasks as required by the management.
Job Requirements:
  • At least B.A from a recognized university.
  • Strong English fluency in writing and speaking
  • Two years’ experience working in Finance section.
  • Proven Computer skills in Word, Excel and other MS Office software
  • Proven Administration skills
  • Ability to travel within project coverage districts & other provinces as needed
