Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, BBA, management, or relevant subject.
Experiences: 5 years of Experience in Finance & Accounting, preferred in NGO environment, of which 3 at an Officer level within the finance department of an international organization.
Language Knowledge: Proficiency in oral, reading, and written English, Dari, and Pashto.
Competencies:
- Strong Technical skills in finance.
- Set and understand the legal, administrative, and financial documents.
- Ability to track budgets and accountability in accordance with planning and deadlines.
- Ability to increase understanding of financial issues within the Country Office.
- Ability to lead, accompany, and track financial audits.
- Ability to design a budget and prepare financial reports.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for official settings, including emails, letters and reporting.
- Must have good report writing skills and be able to provide an accurate report every month.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Sense of responsibility and high motivation and commitment.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure quality work with tight deadlines,
- Being a self-organizer and self-starter.
- Oriented results and capability to take initiatives,
- Dynamic and flexible.
- Advanced in Office, Accounting software (SAGA preferable)
Child Protection Knowledge Advantage:
- Has significant experience working in the child protection sector.
- Can make considered decisions about how to act to safeguard or promote recognized signs of abuse, exploitation children’s welfare.
- Can work with children and their families in a range of complex situations, addressing issues such as resilience and recovery.
- Promotes and speaks with authority about the principles and approaches to child protection programming.
- Leads team to make existential choices about how best to use the available time and resources to address violations of children’s right to protection.
- Strengthens the linkage between national policies and structures and community-based care and protection mechanisms, including traditional mechanisms.
- Works effectively and collaboratively with other agencies to pursue common goals in child protection.
