Job Summary:
Mechanical Engineer under the charge of project manager will be generally responsible for verification of precured mechanical project material, overseeing the installation, testing of mechanical systems, ensuring their efficiency, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation of mechanical equipment such as HVAC systems, piping, pumps, turbines, boilers, compressors, and other machinery.
- Ensure correct alignment, calibration, and assembly of mechanical components.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure mechanical work aligns with project schedules.
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Ensure all mechanical work adheres to industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.) and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify quality and performance.
- Identify and resolve issues related to mechanical systems during construction and commissioning.
- Recommend solutions for improving system efficiency and performance.
- Verify the quality and specifications of materials and equipment delivered to the site.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of mechanical components.
- Conduct functional and performance tests on mechanical systems.
- Ensure systems operate correctly before handing them over for use.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols to prevent mechanical hazards.
- Conduct risk assessments for mechanical systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of installation, testing, inspections, and modifications.
- Prepare reports on work progress, system performance, and compliance status.
- Perform any other duties as may be requested by ESACC Management team.
