Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose

The Case Manager / Master Trainer will support the team to provide quality, child-centered case management services and build the skills of staff and community-based workers. The position will provide practical guidance on case management, conduct trainings and coaching, and help ensure that children and vulnerable individuals receive appropriate support and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular technical support and guidance to Case Workers, Social Workers, and other relevant staff.
  • Support staff to properly identify, assess, plan, follow up, refer, and close cases.
  • Review case files and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of case management and documentation.
  • Support staff in handling complex cases and ensure timely referral to appropriate specialized services.
  • Develop and deliver practical training sessions on case management, child protection, safeguarding, MHPSS, communication, and related topics.
  • Lead Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions and support trained staff to effectively share their learning with colleagues and community structures.
  • Prepare simple and practical training materials, presentations, exercises, and assessment tools.
  • Provide follow-up coaching and mentoring after trainings to help staff apply their learning in their daily work.
  • Conduct regular field visits to observe case management practices, identify challenges, and provide hands-on support.
  • Work with relevant teams and service providers to strengthen referral pathways and coordination.
  • Promote a child-centered, safe, respectful, and confidential approach in all case management activities.
  • Monitor case management progress and contribute to regular program reports.
  • Identify training and capacity-building needs and work with the MHPSS/Child Protection team to address them.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure that sensitive case information is handled safely and appropriately.
  • Carry out other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Child Protection, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in case management, child protection, MHPSS, or humanitarian programs.
  • Good practical experience in working with children, families, and vulnerable communities.
  • Experience in training, coaching, mentoring, or facilitating learning for staff and community workers.
  • Experience conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of child protection, safeguarding, referral systems, and case management principles.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good report-writing and computer skills, particularly MS Office.
  • Ability to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations and provide support to field teams.
  • Fluency in English and relevant local languages is an advantage.
