Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Develop and deliver practical training on silk product design and development.

Introduce innovative and market-oriented silk product designs.

Train participants on product development, color combinations, patterns, dimensions, and finishing.

Support beneficiaries in developing new products based on market demand.

Demonstrate the use of appropriate tools, materials, and techniques.

 Provide guidance on product quality, functionality, packaging, and presentation.

Encourage creativity and innovation among trainees.

Assess trainees' practical skills and provide technical feedback. 

Maintain records of training activities and participants' progress.

Coordinate with the project team regarding training materials and product development activities.

Perform other relevant duties assigned by the organization.

Job Requirements:

Candidates with proven practical experience and strong hands-on technical skills in sericulture and silk production will be given preference.

Diploma or degree in textile design, fashion design, handicrafts, product design, or a related field.

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in silk/textile product design and development.

Demonstrated experience in developing new handicraft or silk products.

Strong understanding of market-oriented product development.

Previous training experience is an advantage.

Good communication, creativity, and facilitation skills.
