The advertised position is with the Afghanistan Center for Excellence (ACE) and will contribute to ACE's portfolio of consulting and development assignments. Through the ACE Ecosystem partnership model, the position will benefit from the complementary expertise of PPC and other ecosystem partners, combining ACE's programmatic leadership and technical delivery capacity with PPC's strengths in monitoring, evaluation, verification, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality, evidence-driven development solutions across Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Afghanistan Center for Excellence (ACE), through the ACE/PPC Ecosystem, is implements  capacity-building projects aimed at strengthening women-owned and women-led businesses in Afghanistan. The projects  provide practical training and follow-up mentoring/coaching support to women entrepreneurs in key business development areas, including business registration, legal compliance, taxation, digital marketing, procurement readiness, access to finance, and business growth.

ACE/PPC Ecosystem is seeking qualified and experienced female trainers for the following thematic areas.

Job Requirements:

Purpose of the Position: The Trainer will deliver practical training and mentoring to women-owned and women-led businesses on UNGM registration, supplier profile setup, procurement readiness, proposal writing, and preparation of price quotations.

Main Training and Mentoring Areas

·       UNGM registration and supplier profile setup.

·       Understanding procurement opportunities and basic supplier requirements.

·       Gender-responsive procurement and market readiness.

·       Preparation of business proposals and expressions of interest.

·       Preparation of price quotations and simple supporting documents.

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop, review, and adapt training materials related to UNGM registration, procurement readiness, and proposal writing.

·       Prepare session plans, agendas, exercises, demonstrations, and practical examples.

·       Deliver interactive and practical training sessions to women entrepreneurs.

·       Facilitate hands-on exercises on UNGM registration, supplier profile setup, proposal preparation, and price quotations.

·       Conduct pre- and post-training assessments, where required.

·       Provide practical templates and tools, including proposal formats, quotation templates, registration checklists, and procurement readiness checklists.

·       Provide follow-up mentoring/coaching to selected participants on completing registration, improving supplier profiles, and preparing business submissions.

·       Support participants in applying procurement and proposal skills to real or sample opportunities.

·       Document participant progress, key challenges, and success stories, where applicable.

·       Coordinate with ACE/PPC Ecosystem project staff on logistics, attendance, documentation, and reporting.

·       Prepare brief training and mentoring reports, including observations, participant feedback, challenges, and recommendations.

·       Ensure all sessions are respectful, inclusive, culturally appropriate, and gender-sensitive.

Expected Deliverables

·       Training agenda and session plan.

·       Final/adapted training materials on UNGM registration, procurement readiness, and business proposal writing.

·       Practical templates/tools, such as UNGM checklist, proposal template, quotation template, and supplier profile checklist.

·       Pre- and post-test tools, where required.

·       Participant attendance lists.

·       Training completion report.

·       Mentoring/coaching session notes and participant progress updates.

·       Photos/videos and other training evidence, as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Economics, Finance, Development Studies, Law, or another relevant field. Master’s degree is preferred.

·       Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supplier development, proposal writing, business development, MSME support, entrepreneurship support, or business mentoring/coaching.

·       Proven experience delivering training and/or coaching to women entrepreneurs, MSMEs, private sector actors, or business groups.

·       Strong knowledge of UNGM registration, procurement processes, proposal preparation, price quotations, and supplier readiness requirements.

·       Excellent facilitation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto is required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.

·       Ability to travel to target provinces, if required.

·       Previous experience with UN agencies, NGOs, consulting firms, or donor-funded projects is an advantage.
