Job Descriptions:

   Mine Planning & Design

·        Prepare short-term and long-term mine plans (monthly, quarterly, annual).

·        Design open-pit layouts, benches, haul roads, and waste dumps.

·        Conduct ore reserve estimation and grade control management.

·        Optimize pit design to maximize fluorite recovery and minimize dilution.

 Production Management

·        Supervise daily mining activities including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.

·        Monitor ore production volumes and ensure compliance with production targets.

·        Coordinate with geology and processing teams for ore quality control.

·        Ensure efficient equipment utilization and productivity.

Technical Supervision

·        Oversee drilling and blasting programs and ensure safe execution.

·        Conduct slope stability assessments and ground control monitoring.

·        Recommend improvements for operational efficiency and cost reduction.

·        Prepare technical reports on production, equipment performance, and costs.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

·        Ensure compliance with national mining laws and environmental regulations.

·        Implement and monitor safety procedures for mining operations.

·        Conduct regular risk assessments and toolbox talks.

·        Promote a strong safety culture at the project site.

Cost Control & Budgeting

·        Prepare operational cost estimates and budgets.

·        Monitor mining costs per ton and identify cost-saving measures.

·        Support procurement in technical specifications for mining equipment and services.

Reporting

·        Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

·        Submit technical performance analysis to management.

·        Maintain accurate records of mine development and ore extraction.

·        Approved mine development and production plans.

·        Monthly production and cost performance reports.

·        Updated ore reserve and grade control data.

·        Safety compliance reports.

·        Equipment productivity analysis.

Job Requirements:

Ø  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mining engineering, Mineral or Quarry engineering, or relevant field.

Ø  5 years working experience in the mining industry with public and/or private sector.

Ø  Knowledge of ore production and processing technologies, organization of design works, budgeting procedure, methods of feasibility study of field development efficiency.

Ø  Knowledge of mining optimization and strategic planning software, Surpac or MineSched or Micromine or DataMine.

Ø  Good written and spoken English is essential, good Pashto and Dari.

Ø  Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ø  Highly motivated skill on teamwork and results oriented.

Ø  Demonstrated enthusiasm in working for the project’s purpose and vision.

Ø  Ability to formulate strategies and policies and create new approaches.

Ø  Undertake project-related tasks as mandated in project agreement and as required by governmental authorities i.e Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Environmental Protection Agency, Ministry of Labor or any other related entity.

Ø  Able to undertake huge amount of work and be able to work under tight deadlines.

 

Additional Qualification Preferred:

Ø  Experienced user of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point, MS Project), Primavera etc.

Ø  Knowledge and mastery of AutoCAD and specialized designing software, Nawis Works.
