The Workover Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all workover, well intervention, and well maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The position provides direct field leadership, ensuring compliance with Company standards, HSE requirements, approved work programs, and industry best practices while maintaining well integrity throughout all phases of operations.
The Workover Supervisor acts as the Company's on-site representative, coordinating contractors, service companies, and operational personnel to achieve project objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and asset integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute workover and well intervention operations in accordance with approved programs.
Ensure full compliance with Company HSE policies, API standards, and applicable industry regulations.
Supervise all contractor and service company personnel during field operations.
Review work programs, procedures, risk assessments, and operational documentation before execution.
Monitor daily operational performance and optimize efficiency while minimizing Non-Productive Time (NPT).
Conduct pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and risk assessments.
Verify proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures and safe work practices.
Ensuring well control standards and well barrier integrity is maintained throughout all operations.
Supervise well killing, completion repair, fishing, milling, plug setting, and other well intervention activities as required.
Ensure workover equipment, pressure control equipment, and BOP systems are properly inspected, tested, and maintained.
Coordinate daily activities with Operations, Engineering, Production, Logistics, HSE, and contractor teams.
Monitor operational costs and promote efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
Prepare accurate daily operational reports, incident reports, and end-of-well documentation.
Participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe conditions are identified.
Mentor and develop field personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
Perform any other duties assigned by Company Management.
