About CRDSA:

Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA) is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian and non-political humanitarian organization that was established in 2002 by a team of Afghan volunteers interested in serving afghan vulnerable people. CRDSA is providing services for Afghan people in sectors of Sustainable Livelihoods, Civil Society Strengthening, Returnees/IDPs Re-integration and Protection and Human Rights Promotion. Presently, CRDSA is operating in 3 provinces of Afghanistan including Herat, Ghor,and Badghis. Currently, CRDSA is implementing a UNICEF funded project in Herat province (Injil district and Herat city villages) for a duration of six months. the project will provide accredited Digital Skills, Literacy and Numeracy training to youth and adolescents in the targeted districts. 

Job Descriptions:
  • Develop and deliver structured training sessions in:
    • Basic literacy (reading and writing)
    • Foundational numeracy (arithmetic, percentages, ratios)
    • Mid-level mathematics (fractions, decimals, basic algebra, problem-solving)
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and practical exercises appropriate for the participants’ skill
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning progress and outcomes.
  • Apply participatory and learner-centered teaching methodologies suitable for low-literacy and adolescent learners.
  • Provide individual support and mentoring to learners requiring additional assistance.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive learning environment for all trainees.
  • Collaborate with the Training Center Technical Coordinator to ensure teaching resources and materials are available and functional.
  • Monitor trainee attendance, participation, and progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Integrate life skills and practical applications (e.g., basic financial literacy, problem-solving) into training sessions.
  • Support project monitoring and reporting by providing feedback and data on learning outcomes.
Job Requirements:
  • Strong teaching and facilitation skills in literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, practical manner.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
  • Fluency in local languages (Dari/Pashto); English proficiency is an asset.
  • Commitment to gender equality, safeguarding, and inclusive education practices.
