1. Daily Financial Operations & Supervision
- Supervise and review daily cashier activities, ensuring accurate data entry in the billing software and the completion of daily cash reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger on a scheduled basis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all deposits and receipts are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Review and validate inventory movement, consumption records, and the fixed assets register, verifying capitalizations and disposals.
2. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
- Lead the monthly financial closing process in coordination with the Finance Director and Manager-Finance.
- Reconcile and finalize all revenue balances, ensuring accurate posting of revenue entries.
- Finalize package patient expenses and calculate revenue from other sources.
- Prepare and finalize the Year-End Financial Statements under the direct supervision of the Manager-Finance.
- Prepare and finalize the Year-End Tax Clearance with the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
3. Compliance, Taxation & Audit
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all tax returns, including monthly salary tax, supplier withholding tax, quarterly BRT, and annual income tax.
- Serve as the primary focal point for external and tax auditors, ensuring all requested documents are provided and compliance is demonstrated.
- Guarantee adherence to hospital policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and local statutory laws.
4. Payroll & Compensation
- Own and execute the end-to-end monthly payroll process, utilizing data from HR to ensure accurate and timely disbursement.
- Calculate contractual doctors' salaries and other non-standard compensations.
5. Cross-Departmental Coordination & Analysis
- Act as the finance liaison for the Procurement and Pharmacy departments, providing financial oversight for contracts with suppliers and resolving operational issues.
- Supervise the Insurance Coordinator, reviewing processes for invoice preparation, submission, reconciliation of outstanding balances, and maintenance of accurate financial records with insurance companies.
- Assist in developing and monitoring the annual operating budget by collaborating with department heads to forecast revenue and expenses, and by conducting detailed variance analysis.
- Perform cost analysis for various health services and packages to support strategic decision-making.
