The Finance Advisor will play a pivotal role in guiding the software development team in the design and implementation of the Financial Module within the BG ERP system. This position bridges the gap between finance and technology, ensuring that all developed features align with BG’s financial requirements, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), and global accounting best practices.
The Finance Advisor will analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and prepare a comprehensive Software Requirement Specification (SRS) for the financial system components.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Finance Module Development Guidance
- Collaborate closely with software developers and ERP architects to design and enhance financial and accounting modules within BG ERP.
- Translate complex financial concepts into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
- Review and validate financial workflows, ledgers, and transactions within the ERP for accuracy and compliance.
- Requirement Gathering & SRS Preparation
- Conduct requirement analysis sessions with finance, accounting, and audit teams to capture functional and reporting needs.
- Develop detailed Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) based on BG’s internal requirements and international accounting standards.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant financial regulations.
- Financial Data & Reporting
- Define data structures, reporting formats, and integration points for financial reporting within the ERP system.
- Support the development of dashboards, analytics, and automated financial reports for decision-making.
- Validate and test financial outputs to ensure compliance with internal and statutory reporting norms.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure that the ERP financial module adheres to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other global accounting principles.
- Work with auditors and compliance officers to ensure proper financial controls and audit trails within the system.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as the liaison between finance, software development, and business management teams.
- Provide continuous support and clarification to developers during the software lifecycle (SDLC).
Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions with the ERP and finance teams.
