Job Descriptions:
  • Lead the implementation of activities in alignment with the project workplan and objectives.
  • Ensure coordination with local authorities and stakeholders as well as negotiation and implementation of all necessary MoUs and contracts
  • Supervise and support field staff involved in livelihood package distribution, training, and follow-up.
  • Monitor progress of field activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely reporting of challenges and successes.
  • Ensure that project implementation complies with organizational, donor, and government guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports, as well as donor reports, ensuring the timely provision of accurate data on outputs, outcomes, and impact.
  • Manage the project’s budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to technical specialists and provincial managers.
  • Ensure the integration of gender, protection, and environmental sustainability into all project activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess progress, gather feedback, and provide on-the-ground support to field teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning), Finance, and Grants Management teams to ensure accurate documentation, data tracking, financial management, and donor reporting.
  • Participate in internal & external trainings proposed by Afghanaid Senior Management Staff
  • Ensure that Monthly Individual Action plan is in place.
  • Perform any other tasks not mentioned in the job description when requested by Afghanaid Senior Management Team based on the requisition/ requirements of the program
Job Requirements:

Education & Professional

Master’s degree in administration or another relevant area or equivalent professional experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in Community Driven Development projects.

Work Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in Community Driven Development projects and works.

  • Familiarity with community-led, participatory, gender-sensitive, and inclusive programming approaches
  • Training and capacity building skills in participatory monitoring methods

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work with significant levels of autonomy, manage personal priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with the ability to effectively work in a team.
  • Fluency in written English and demonstrated ability to write and lay out high-quality documents.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto and Dari, both written and spoken
  • Honest, proactive, and well mannered.
  • Sensitivity to Islamic culture.
  • Commitment to support/develop the capacity of the national staff and of rural communities
