Graduate of an accredited health professional program diploma/degree preferably nursing
Current registration from MoPH/MoHE
Trained as perfusionist from a recognized Cardiovascular institution (Perfusionist training) – preferred
Certification in in the following is preferred:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Safe Medication Administration
- Intravenous Cannulation (IV)
- Infection Control (IC)
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
Work experience:
2 to 3 years of clinical experience
Knowledge, competencies and attributes:
An effective team player and contributes to team building.
Good understanding of human anatomy and physiology and OR terminology
Can describe safety procedures as they relate to use of medical equipment
Possesses good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Able to organize workload and identify priorities as per patient acuity.
Understand basic written and verbal English.
Ability to cope with stressful situations. And able to deal with difficult customers.
Be motivated towards learning and capacity development.
Makes responsible decisions that result in time and cost containment to the institution and customers and clear accountability.
Travels within or outside the country for short/long term trainings/mission when needed.
Represents positive image of FMIC via professional appearance and behavior.
Takes feedback from supervisors constructively and works to improve on the identified areas.
