Job Description:

  • Ensure that the targets and objectives of the HER project are achieved and the activities are going on according to the project work plan, MoPH policies and guidelines, and UNICEF and WHO requirements.
  •  Monitor regularly the project in terms of achieving the targets, and indicators set in the project proposal.
  •  Familiar with P4P eleven core indicators and TPM data analysis.
  •  Responsible for the monthly technical/GRM report.
  •  Supervise and mentor technical staff to prepare detail action plan for conducting the activities.
  • Prepare the quarterly technical report and submit it to the project manager.
  • Participate actively in PHCC meetings.
  • Ensure the quality of project implementation is according to the set standards.
  • Manage health emergencies and communicate/ coordinate efforts with Provincial Emergency Preparedness and Response Committee.
  • Prepare annual skills and knowledge transfer plan for all project staff
  • Responsible to organize and facilitate quality cascading of the skills and knowledge transfer activities at provincial office and at the health facility level.
  • Visit health facilities on a regular basis to identity staff needs; provide on-the-job training and technical assistance to relevant staff according to their need and project requirements.
  • Ensure that all skills and knowledge transfer activities are done according to project plan and staff requirements identified based on TNA, field visits and performance review.
  • Prepare, adapt and adjust different training materials according to relevant MoPH guidelines and recommended learning resource materials.
  • With close coordination of Project Manager, he/ she ensures that proper candidates are nominated and attended scheduled skills and knowledge updated training.
  • Responsible to maintain effective coordination with, PPHD, relevant government authorities, communities and project staff.
  • Any other tasks assigned by line project manager.
Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • MD degree from a recognized University.
  • Master’s degree of Public Health.
  • Management and leadership. HMIS, Report writing, Supervision and Monitoring.
  • At least 10 years of experience in health care management.
  • Committed and honest to work hard, have good communication skills, having analytical skills, leadership skills, team building and playing skills
  • Strong knowledge of health program management, clinical services, and public health principles.
  • Experience with health information systems, data management, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in report writing, project management, and training facilitation.
  • Knowledge of donor requirements and health sector policies is an advantage.
  • Should be familiar with the health system and standards for the provision of primary and secondary health care services (BPHS and EPHS) in Afghanistan.
