Project implementation and Service Delivery
The role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and delivery of essential health services, including NCDs, communicable diseases, RMNCH, EPI, IMNCI, mental health, IPC, Pharma and RCCE, in alignment with BPHS guidelines. This includes conducting regular visits to supported service delivery points to monitor quality, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with standards. The position also plays a key role in promoting cross-sectoral integration, ensuring that nutrition, primary health care, mental health, and WASH interventions are effectively coordinated to deliver comprehensive and holistic services.
Capacity Building
The role involves providing technical backstopping and on-the-job supportive supervision to healthcare service providers, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver quality care. It also requires actively engaging service providers to strengthen adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) standards and to promote proper implementation of referral protocols for improved service continuity and patient outcomes.
Coordination and representation
The position is responsible for actively participating in provincial and district-level coordination meetings and maintaining strong liaison with local health communities and health shuras to strengthen collaboration and accountability. The role also includes representing IRC in health cluster and other relevant coordination meetings as required, while supporting cross-sectoral coordination, particularly with the Protection sector, to ensure effective integration and delivery of services.
Monitoring and reporting
The position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting through established lines of accountability. The role reports directly to the Provincial Health Manager, with technical reporting lines to the RCCE Manager, MHPSS Manager, and RH Manager, ensuring that programmatic and technical aspects are consistently monitored, documented, and communicated for effective decision-making.
