Job Descriptions:

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and monitoring all civil works under the NGO’s projects. He will ensure that construction activities meet national/international standards, donor requirements, and the organization’s quality and safety guidelines.
Prepare/review engineering drawings, BoQs, and technical specifications.
Supervise on-site construction work to ensure compliance with the design and timeline.
Assist in contractor selection, site inspections, and bid evaluations
Ensure all works follow safety standards and environmental compliance
Monitor construction progress, provide technical reports, and highlight delays or quality issues
Liaise with procurement/logistics for materials and equipment delivery
Maintain accurate documentation (site diaries, photos, material records, test results, etc.)
Participate in needs assessments.
Prepare and submit timely progress reports to senior management
Address any issues or challenges that arise during project implementation.
