Job Descriptions:

The Project Manager will serve as the lead representative of the consultancy firm on the construction site. He/she will be responsible for managing the supervision team, monitoring contractor activities, and ensuring the project is executed in line with design documents, specifications, timelines, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the site supervision of building construction projects on behalf of the consultancy firm.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of contractors to ensure adherence to design, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with client representatives, local authorities, contractors, and the internal consultancy team.
Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, work schedules, and quality control plans.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports, site observations, and technical recommendations to the head office/client.
Identify delays, risks, or issues and recommend corrective actions in coordination with stakeholders.
Ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards are followed at the site.
Attend progress meetings and act as the focal point for all on-site project-related communication.

Job Requirements:

Education: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction supervision, with at least 3 years in a project management or senior supervisory role within a consultancy firm.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dari or Pashto is an asset.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards (including local and international codes).
- Familiarity with construction contracts, particularly FIDIC-based contracts.
- Skilled in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure in a field environment.
