Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, and implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Descriptions:

· Review and interpret engineering designs, technical drawings, and site plans related to watershed management structures such as check dams, ponds, trenches, and terraces.

· Supervise the day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure implementation is in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and engineering standards.

· Coordinate with surveyors to verify layout points, elevations, and alignment before starting construction works.

· Estimate quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for materials and labor required for civil structures in the watershed project.

· Ensure quality control of construction materials (e.g., concrete, stone, soil) and workmanship during excavation, filling, compaction, and structural works.

· Monitor progress against the work plan and ensure that construction milestones and timelines are achieved.

· Identify design-related issues on site and provide practical solutions in coordination with the design and project management teams.

· Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily site reports, material usage, and labor force.

· Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines during all phases of civil work.

· Liaise with contractors, community members, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project implementation and resolve any technical or construction-related challenges.

2.Monitoring and Progress Controls

· Monitor the project activities in accordance with activities plan especially in project implementation, time passed progress, quality control progress and physical progress.

· Preparation and submission of QC monitoring reports for each filed missions carried out.

3. Final Product

· Hand over product to representative organizations and local authorities.

· KRO projects are in full compliance with Donor’s requirements.

· Project completion as per contract documents.

· Project delivery as per time schedule, budget and specification

4. Other

· Participate in training workshops, meetings, project events held in any provinces.

· Visit project sites and monitor all activities

· Respect and adore all policies of KRO code of conduct

· Maintain 100% transparency and accountability

· Any other task assigned by management

Job Requirements:

1.At least Bs degree in civil engineering (Higher degrees are preferred);

2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementation of construction projects, having work experience in hydraulic structures will be preferred.

3. Having work experience NGO/INGO will be preferred.

4. Must be familiar with civil 3D/ AutoCAD, GPS, Total Station, Level Machine and MS office;

5. Have the familiarity at English will be preferred and must be excellent to local languages;

6. Have the ability to work for long hours and under pressure.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
