Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, and implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Descriptions:

· Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis to support the design and implementation of watershed management and water retention structures.

· Design water-related structures such as check dams, ponds, spillways, and diversion channels based on rainfall, runoff, and catchment data.

· Assess site conditions to determine water flow patterns, soil permeability, and water storage potential for each intervention.

· Ensure proper sizing and technical specifications of water harvesting and recharge structures to enhance groundwater recharge and reduce surface runoff.

· Monitor water levels, infiltration rates, and structural performance of constructed ponds, dams, and trenches during and after implementation.

· Provide technical input on sustainable water resource utilization and conservation techniques in line with local environmental conditions.

· Collaborate with civil and survey engineers to ensure correct implementation of water flow paths, embankments, and protective works.

· Develop maintenance plans for water structures, including desilting schedules, structural inspections, and repair guidelines.

· Support the preparation of reports, technical documents, and water-related sections of project proposals and designs.

· Liaise with local authorities, communities, and environmental agencies to ensure compliance with water resource management policies and practices.

2. Final Product

· Hand over product to representative organizations and local authorities.

· KRO projects are in full compliance with Donor’s requirements.

· Project completion as per contract documents.

· Project delivery as per time schedule, budget and specification

3. Other

· Participate in training workshops, meetings, project events held in any provinces.

· Visit project sites and monitor all activities

· Respect and adore all policies of KRO code of conduct

· Maintain 100% transparency and accountability

· Any other task assigned by management

Job Requirements:

1.At least Bs degree in Water or hydraulic engineering (Higher degrees are preferred);

2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in water engineering.

3. Having work experience NGO/INGO will be preferred;

4. Must be familiar with civil 3D/ AutoCAD, GIS and MS office;

5. Have the familiarity at English will be preferred and must be excellent to local languages;

6. Have the ability to work for long hours and under pressure.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
