Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients, establish diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide appropriate emergency medical care and referrals when required.
- Provide medical advice and health education to patients and caregivers.
- Support maternal, child health, and other primary healthcare services as applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and medical documentation.
- Monitor patients' conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Participate in clinical and health facility team meetings and activities.
- Ensure rational use of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and control standards.
- Identify cases requiring specialized services and ensure timely referral.
- Maintain confidentiality, dignity, and privacy of patients.
- Comply with ARSDO policies, WHO/MoPH technical guidelines, PSEA, Safeguarding, and Code of Conduct requirements.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
· MD Degree (Medical Doctor) from a recognized university and completion of exit exam.
· At least 2 years of professional experience in clinical services.
· Knowledge of BPHS/EPHS is an advantage.
· Good command of Pashto, Dari, and basic English.
· Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).

· Strong clinical knowledge and ability to diagnose and treat common illnesses.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to lead and motivate healthcare staff.
· Skilled in report writing and data management (HMIS).
· Ability to organize and manage workload under pressure.
· Sensitivity to cultural and gender issues.
· Commitment to teamwork, integrity, and confidentiality.
· Lead and participate in monthly staff meetings at the facility.
· Organize training courses to enhance staff capacity.
· Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Working Conditions:
· Based at the assigned Health Facility.
· Regular field presence may be required.
· May need to travel to nearby clinics or project sites.
· Normal working hours apply, flexibility during emergencies.
