Job Descriptions:

Responsibilities During the Construction Phase

  1. Supervise and manage the temporary electrical power system for the project.
  2. Ensure reliable and safe electrical power supply for construction areas office building, workshops warehouses and camps facilities.
  3. Supervise electrical wiring works for office buildings dormitories chines staff canteen internal staff canteen control rooms warehouses, and other project facilities.
  4. Supervise the installation of Distribution Boards (DBs) electrical panels, and protective devices.
  5. Inspect and verify the quality of electrical works performed by contractors and electricians.
  6. Supervise the installation of the earthing (grounding) system and ensure compliance with applicable technical standards and specifications.
  7. Monitor the safe operation and utilization of generators power cables extension cables and temporary electrical equipment.
  8. Prepare temporary power distribution plans for different project areas.
  9. Review requests for temporary electrical connections in newly developed construction zones and coordinate their implementation.
  10. Prevent electrical hazards such as overloads, short circuits, and unsafe electrical practices.
  11. Record and report electrical issues, incidents, and daily work activities.

B. Responsibilities During the Commissioning Phase of CPP and Solar plant and gride connections

  1. Assist in the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Participate in pre-energization inspections and testing activities.
  3. Assist in troubleshooting and rectifying electrical faults and deficiencies.
  4. Record test results and prepare technical commissioning reports.
  5. Participate in the inspection, testing, and handover of electrical equipment from contractors.

C. Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities

  1. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.

2.      Implement and enforce the Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedure before performing electrical work.

  1. Ensure that no live electrical work is carried out without proper authorization and approved work permits.
  2. Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing electrical activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or similar projects.
  • Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • knowledge of LOTO procedures in electrical field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
