Responsible for the day-to-day K9 dogs health ensuring all are healthy and ready for work while ensuring contractual services are met.
Key Accountabilities
· Assessing and examining the K9 and diagnosing their medical issues.
· Conducting laboratory tests on specimens to diagnose medical conditions.
· Performing diagnostic imaging and ultrasound tests.
· Performing surgery, dressing, and treating wounds, and prescribing medication.
· Promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, and by educating clients on positive diet and lifestyle choices for pets.
· Improving K9’s dental health by performing checkups, cleaning, and extracting teeth.
· Euthanizing K9.
· Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
· Maintaining K9’s medical records.
Key Performance Indicators
· Ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of K9 medical conditions through examinations, testing, and appropriate medical interventions.
· Maintain high standards of preventative care by ensuring timely vaccinations, routine checkups, and overall health monitoring of all K9s.
· Ensure complete and compliant medical records and adherence to veterinary regulations and ethics at all times
