Vision Development Organization (VDO), founded in 2015 by Afghan women leaders, is a national, women-led NGO dedicated to advancing the dignity, resilience, and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities. Despite Afghanistan’s complex humanitarian and governance challenges, VDO has grown into a trusted, principled, and adaptive organization, delivering programs in protection, education, livelihoods, social inclusion, and community development across multiple provinces. Job Descriptions:

Lead the strategic planning, implementation, supervision, and expansion of economic development, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and market systems programs across target provinces.
Develop annual workplans, budgets, implementation frameworks, and partnership strategies aligned with donor requirements and VDO policies.
Oversee value chain development, enterprise support, income generation activities, financial inclusion initiatives, and private sector engagement.
Supervise program staff, coordinators, mentors, and field teams.
Ensure integration of gender equality, safeguarding, climate resilience, disability inclusion, youth empowerment, and accountability mechanisms into all programming.
Lead donor reporting, proposal development, risk management, monitoring systems, and stakeholder coordination.
Facilitate partnerships with financial institutions, chambers of commerce, cooperatives, vocational centers, and private sector actors. Represent VDO in coordination forums, donor meetings, and technical working groups.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Agriculture Economics, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of senior-level experience in livelihoods, economic development, market systems, or enterprise development programs.
Strong donor compliance and grant management experience.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Experience managing multi-provincial programs and teams.
Strong analytical and coordination abilities.
English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.
