Job Descriptions:

Responsibilities 

Regular Responsibilities:

·         Lead the Accounts Payable Section and ensure the following:

a.       Check all Payment and Journal vouchers and ensure timely payments to national and international suppliers

b.      Monthly review of balance sheet accounts, reviewing the schedules including bank reconciliation and resolved the outstanding items in timely manner.

c.       Responsible for managing the entire Asset Management Module including Fixed assets recording, physical verification and related controls.

d.      Prepare various analytical reports related to finance as and when required by the management.

e.       Prepare monthly grant reports / management reports on a predefined format. Review monthly Payroll and ensure that staff salaries are released well on time.

f.        Capacity building of the junior staff and train them for the future expansion and growth.

g.      Ensure that the institution complies with all the regulatory requirements related to Finance.

h.      Any other assignment as and when assign by supervisor.

 

Periodic Responsibilities:

·         Lead the external audits process and complete it before the end of February each year.

·         Lead the Government audits and liaise with all department heads to obtain the required information and submission to relevant IEA ministries or departments.

·         Liaise with all department heads in order to resolve the internal audit queries. 

·         Responsible for timely submission of institutional tax returns to relevant ministry of Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan

·         Timely submission of the Ministry of Economy report

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements

MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance with a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience; or ACCA/ACMA Finalist with at least three years of relevant professional experience.

 

Work experience

 

 

At least 3-5 years of related experience in line with the above-mentioned qualification, preferably with an NGO / Health Care Institution.

 

Knowledge and Competencies.

·         Good communication, interpersonal skills in Dari, English and Pushto language.

·         Ability to work under difficult working conditions.

·         Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

·         Good computer skills, especially MS Office.     

·         Good knowledge of accounting.
