Job Descriptions:

The Morning Star Development US Medical Director gives an overview to Morning Star Development’s medical programs, including oversight in birth education, health and hygiene, addiction recovery, trauma, nutrition, university students and beyond. This role would also evaluate the needs of the staff and community. Reports to the Afghanistan Field Coordinator. This position will be filled by an expat with extensive experience with the international based NGO and must be able to travel outside the country.

Job Requirements:

Support, enable, and advise Morning Star Development medical programs for optimal impact
Evaluate the needs of the staff and programs, recommend training/ resources
Evaluate program reports and check for accuracy
Evaluate needs of the community; advise and implement new programs or adjustments in existing programs
Ensure programs maintain compliance with government regulations
Travel to other cities to visit Morning Star Development program sites as needed
Participate in team meetings
Identify areas of strategic service for other medical personnel
