Basic information about the hospital sections
Experience / Skills :
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the BPHS/EPHS health facilities as a practical nurse
Based at a Basic Health Centre (BHC) with involvement in outreach activities
Liaison with CHS, CHWs, and community health posts
Travel within the catchment area for screening and follow-up activities
Ability to work under high workload, limited resources, and remote/rural conditions
Experience supporting BPHS service delivery elements, including:
Maternal & newborn care
Child health & immunisation
Health promotion
Nutrition
Ability to work with community leaders and CHWs to optimize the use of services by the community
Languages:
Be able to communicate in local language.
Skills :
Knowledge of indicators and consequences of abuse, exploitation, and violence against children
Ability to present project health activities and concerns verbally and in writing
Understanding of report writing and proposal writing
Working knowledge of national and international legal frameworks on health issues
Monitoring performance indicators including:
Nutritional screening coverage for children under five and pregnant/lactating women
Weight-gain outcomes for malnourished cases
Stock-out rates of essential nutrition supplies
Completeness and timeliness of documentation and reports
Community education sessions with caregiver participation
Patient and family satisfaction with services
