Position Summary
The AutoCAD and Quantity Engineer is responsible for preparing technical drawings, conducting quantity take-offs, and ensuring the accuracy of project estimations and material requirements for road and infrastructure projects. The role requires both office-based and occasional field coordination with engineers, surveyors, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, including road alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and construction layouts.
- Conduct site surveys and verify actual quantities against design specifications.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and material calculations for project components.
- Support cost estimation and preparation of technical documentation for progress and financial reporting.
- Review and validate engineering designs to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with surveyors, site engineers, and the procurement team to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain updated records of design modifications, quantity revisions, and material usage reports.
