2. Purpose of the Assignment

4. Scope of Work / Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the PDD and in coordination with other relevant departments, the Mining Engineer will:
- Prepare mine designs, layouts, and plans for both surface and underground operations.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term production schedules.
- Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for mining projects.
- Oversee drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Monitor and analyze production data, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate closely with geologists, metallurgists, and maintenance teams to optimize operations.
- Prepare and submit technical reports, progress updates, and budget estimates.
- Participate in the selection, operation, and maintenance planning of mining equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and training to mine personnel to strengthen operational capacity.
