Position Summary:
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of construction projects, ensuring activities are implemented according to project plans, quality standards, and timelines. The officer will collect, analyze, and report data, supporting project management in decision-making and compliance. The position requires frequent field visits and close coordination with engineers, contractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to construction sites to track progress, safety, and quality standards.
- Collect and verify field data, maintain accurate records, and develop monitoring reports.
- Analyze project performance against planned milestones and indicators.
- Support evaluation activities to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field staff to resolve issues.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for reporting and future projects.
- Train field staff on reporting templates, data collection tools, and project KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and local laws.
