Aseel Technology is hiring a Product Manager for our 50 Afghan Women in Tech Leaders Program Fellowship Cohort 3 to work with one of our program partners. The role is explained in detail as follows:
The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages stakeholders, and applies project management best practices to deliver solutions that align with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Allocate and coordinate resources, including internal teams, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Oversee system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, or other IT initiatives.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional IT teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Provide direction, support, and motivation to project team members.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint reviews, or other project ceremonies (for Agile/Hybrid environments).
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Act as the main point of contact between IT, business units, and external vendors.
- Communicate project status, risks, and progress updates through reports and presentations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk, Budget, & Quality Control
- Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Ensure all deliverables meet technical requirements, business needs, and quality standards.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Apply and adapt project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) as appropriate.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to improving IT project management practices.
- Evaluate new tools, vendors, and processes that can optimize IT project delivery.
