Summary:

The Community Mobilizer is responsible for engaging with local communities to raise awareness about education programs and encourage community participation. The role involves building relationships with parents, community leaders, and school staff to support student enrollment, attendance, and retention—especially for girls and vulnerable children. The Community Mobilizer conducts outreach, facilitates community meetings, and helps ensure education activities are inclusive, accepted, and effectively implemented at the grassroots level.

Knowledge required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in similar positions with national and/or international NGOs.
  • Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Good in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.  
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of social and behavior change theories and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in community engagement and participatory approaches.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Travel  The position will be based in the province, and residents of related districts are encouraged to apply for this position with frequent travel to the districts.
