Position Summary

The Women's Community Center Supervisor will manage the Women's Community Centers located in Herat. This role involves supervising the performance of two PSS Counsellors, two Social Organizers, and additional support staff. The supervisor will be responsible for the overall operation of the centers, ensuring the provision of services related to PSS, GBV cases, and referrals for vulnerable women and girls.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and report on activities for the operationalization of the Women Community Centers (WCC) in Herat.
  • Supervise two PSS Counsellors, two Social Organizers, and support staff.
  • Ensure timely supplies and required inputs for clients visiting the WCC.
  • Provide support for women and adolescent girls, including psychological first aid (PFA) and safe referrals, adhering to best-practice principles when working with survivors of GBV.
  • Understand and strictly implement WASSA's PSEA and safeguarding policies, as well as UNHCR guidelines.
  • Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) for safety audits, data analysis, and report drafting with the support of the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with social organizers to refer incident cases to the centers.
  • Follow up and refer GBV cases to appropriate service providers.
  • Ensure the team adheres to GBV referral pathways and provides feedback for action, forwarding it to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure quality referrals between WASSA and other service providers for coordinated, confidential, and safe support to women and girl protection cases, following data protection and referral procedures.
  • Ensure accurate daily data collection using both paper and electronic reporting tools, providing them to the regional project manager on schedule.
  • Monitor daily/weekly data collection to ensure safe and ethical management of data.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner, incorporating supervisor feedback as requested.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with relevant partners, including community-based protection mechanisms and other service providers, particularly Regional GBV sub-cluster partners.
  • Ensure that dedicated project staff conduct required services within the community centers.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports on services provided, on a quarterly basis, for donor and management reporting.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with communities for the protection, safety, and security of the community centers.
  • Collaborate with social organizers in conducting dialogue and awareness sessions with target communities.
  • Ensure mapping of service providers is available and coordinate to receive and refer GBV cases.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the regional Project Manager.
