Job Descriptions:

Duties&Responsibilities:

  • Assessing cases and compiling case reports containing relevant information.
  • Providing professional & confidential services and support to the GBV survivors in a survivor-centered case management approach.
  • Ensuring that case reports are kept up to date.
  • Ensuring accurate client information documentation, maintaining confidential history reports, and safe storage.           
  • Interviewing clients to assess their situational needs and planning regular follow-ups to assess progress and additional needs.
  • Developing a practical and comprehensive action plan for case monitoring, safe referral, and client's well-being.
  • Developing a context-specific GBV referral pathway to any available specialized GBV case management facility in the targeted provinces.
  • Participate in the development of case management monitoring systems and help to ensure that GBV community workers utilize these systems correctly and consistently.      
  • Supervise and provide training mentorship and other technical support to project staff mainly social workers and community mobilizers directly involved with the psychosocial component of the AAA's GBV Programme.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all safe space officers, psychosocial councilors, and community outreach officers to ensure all Programme activities meet best practice standards.           
  • Strengthen and maintain networks through other service providers to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater communication collaboration and coordination among partners (protection health legal and psychosocial sectors).
  • Good coordination and networking with GBV actors and government officials in respective provinces.

Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

  • Should have at least have 3-4 years of experience in case management and law-related activities and provision of legal advice to victims of violence against women and girls as well as referral of cases
  • Active listening, to better understand the needs of their client so they can create a plan of action
  • Social context to understand the challenges and opportunities clients face
  • Written and verbal communication to interface with government organizations, courts/probate officers and essentials services
  • Critical thinking and decision making to plan the best course of action for their clients
  • Problem solving to improve the well-being of their clients through advocacy
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications including MS Word and Excel.  
  • Willing to work under pressure.  
  • Fluency in English, Pashto & Dari is a must, including writing clear and concise reports.
