Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities

Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples (blood, urine, etc.) according to protocols
Conduct routine diagnostic tests including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and parasitology
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness of the lab area
Record and report test results accurately and timely to medical staff
Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards and infection control measures
Manage laboratory supplies inventory and report shortages
Support training of junior staff or interns as needed
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Comply with national laboratory guidelines and protocols
Participate in regular ward rounds and shift handovers (night duty)

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from a recognized institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory
Familiarity with national laboratory guidelines and BPHS/EPHS standards
Knowledge of quality assurance and infection control procedures
Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari; English is an advantage
