Scope of work:
Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO) is registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013. Registration number (2852) was awarded to ASLO through the NGOs Department of the Ministry of Economy, Kabul, Afghanistan.
ASLO has an extensive and a good track record in implementation of educational support programs funded by donors in Logar province. ASLO in cooperation will implement education Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in 5 locations of Logar province, namely, Kharwar, Barak-i-Barak, Khosho, Pule Alam, and Mohammad Agha districts of Logar province. This position is responsible for monitoring, evaluation, MIS and data management in Community Based Education (CBE) in Logar districts.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will report directly to the Provincial Project Manager.. The M&E Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) functions for the community based education project in Logar province. The incumbent will assist in the systematic collection and analysis of field data using tools such as Kobo Toolbox. Conduct regular field monitoring visits, and contribute to ensuring compliance with project objectives and quality standards. The M&E Assistant will also help capture lessons learned and support feedback mechanisms to improve project accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the MEAL department and the MEAL officer in designing and updating M&E tools aligned with the project logframe and Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT).
- Conduct frequent field visits to monitor community based education related interventions including training sessions and daily functioning of the classes.
- Enter data into the MIS system received and attested by the Community Mobilisers and Master Trainers.
- Collect and verify both qualitative and quantitative data from beneficiaries and field staff using Kobo Toolbox.
- Assist in planning and executing baseline, endline, as well as producing monitoring repots.
- Track progress on training attendance, TLM kits and utilization of distributed inputs.
- Contribute to documentation of success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.
- Support community feedback mechanisms and follow-up on issues raised by beneficiaries.
- Maintain ethical data collection practices and ensure culturally appropriate interactions with communities.
